Is it okay if I tell you a little about myself?
My name is Sheila Bowen and I am the President of Beautiful You Med Spa. I started Beautiful You in 2006. As an artist of sorts, and because I have been a registered nurse since 1991, I have skills in anatomy and physiology, client management, pain control and critical thinking that assists me in doing my job. I did my original permanent cosmetic training in Salt Lake City. Since then, I have been through hundreds of hours of training and have thousands of procedures under my belt including various types and colors of eyeliner applications, eyebrows using multiple application techniques, lip blushing, scar camouflage, nipple and areola work, scalp micropigmentation, eye shadow, butterfly liner, beauty marks and many other fun permanent cosmetic applications. To top that off, I am an expert in corrective and removal work. I feel like there is literally nothing I can’t address when it comes to your permanent cosmetics.
I have developed the perfect numbing regimen that makes the permanent cosmetic procedure a virtually pain free experience for most people, with minimal time in the chair. I aim to give you makeup that you imagine, not what I think is best, although I will give you my humble, experienced opinion. But, in the end, you get to decide what is best for you and that is what I aim to provide.
At Beautiful You, we are licensed with the state of Missouri to offer permanent cosmetic training and apprenticeship opportunities. I am in the instructor for that training that not only includes application of pigment but business management on top of other important elements of training like dealing with challenging situations, product information, legal and client psychology amongst other things.
Beautiful You has expanded to a medical spa model. Dr. Maria Carter, D.O. is our collaborating physician. We offer facial injectables like Botox and filler to help you look and feel 5 to 10 years younger. We also offer plasma skin tightening, micro-needling, skin imperfection removal, laser hair removal, laser skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, vein removal using laser and other beauty enhancing modalities.
