New Weight Loss Program
Have you attempted to lose weight but have had a hard time keeping it off in the past? The ups and downs can certainly be difficult, but we have a new program that may help you get your weight under control for good.
Is our new weight loss program for you?
This program will be available for people who are candidates based on laboratory data, body mass index (BMI), and personal medical history.
If you qualify, we offer the weight loss medication, semaglutide. It is for adults with obesity, or some adults with excess weight and weight-related medical problems, and works along with a reduced-calorie meal plan and increased physical activity.
What is semaglutide?
Semaglutide promotes weight loss. It belongs to a class of medications known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. It mimics the hormone that is released in the gastrointestinal tract after eating. One role of this hormone is to prompt the body to produce more insulin, which reduces blood glucose (sugar). Semaglutide interacts with the parts of the brain that reduce appetite and signal a feeling of fullness.
Semaglutide for weight loss may be right for you if you meet one of the following criteria:
- Have a body mass index (BMI) of 27kg/m2 or greater and at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol
- Have a BMI of 30kg/m2 or greater
You should avoid semaglutide if you have:
- History of medullary thyroid cancer
- History of gallbladder disease
- History of pancreatitis
- Multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2)
Efficiency of semaglutide for weight loss
There have been several anti-obesity medications that help suppress appetite and achieve weight loss. But semaglutide performs on a new level with participants losing up to 20% of their body weight. However, the fundamentals of weight loss will always include changes to personal diet and exercise. These are the keys to keeping the weight off long term.
If you’re considering semaglutide for weight loss, your first step should be consulting your healthcare provider. They know your personal and family medical history and can guide you in the best treatment for your condition. If you have diabetes and already take a different medication, talk to your physician about acceptable (and safe) combinations of diabetes medication.
Our approach to beauty is wholistic. We want to work with you to help find your healthiest weight and the lifestyle changes to support it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide promotes weight loss. It belongs to a class of medications known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. It mimics the hormone that is released in the gastrointestinal tract after eating. One role of this hormone is to prompt the body to produce more insulin, which reduces blood glucose (sugar). How does semaglutide work?
Semaglutide works by mimicking a hormone that targets areas of the brain involved in regulating appetite and food intake. This can help you eat less, which can lead to weight loss.
What are the common side effects from taking semaglutide?
People taking semaglutide for weight loss may experience:
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Gastrointestinal issues, such as diarrhea, constipation and gassiness
- Headache
- Stomach issues, including nausea, vomiting, pain or distension (bloat)
This list does not describe all possible side effects. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects.
How much weight can I expect to lose?
An early study of 2,000 obese adults compared people using semaglutide plus a diet and exercise program with people who made the same lifestyle changes without semaglutide. After 68 weeks, half of the participants using semaglutide lost 15% of their body weight, and nearly a third lost 20%. Participants who incorporated only lifestyle changes lost about 2.4% of their weight.
